The sessions cover a range of art and craft disciplines including: painting, drawing, printmaking and mixed media. We will be starting 2019 by getting messy with large scale charcoal drawings, looking at the refraction of light on glass. In the coming few months I plan to introduce tasks working in oil pastels, oil paints, mixed media collage/print as well as having booked in several guest artists, including Jan Symes to do a introduction to watercolours.

I aim to create a relaxed atmosphere in which people feel free to try new things, bounce ideas off of each other and get creative. Each session will consist of a different taught skill/task and will be designed to be accessible as individual workshops as well as building on previous skills over time. In addition, this year I will be introducing ‘project time’ into the second half of some of the sessions. This is to allow individual members to work on a more involved piece of art work over time, either working with an idea of their own or in response to set topics, using and further developing the skills that they have already learned.
How to join
If you would like to join or have any questions then please don't hesitate to send me an email: contact@cathsiswick.co.uk, or message me through social media, whichever works for you.

To cover costs and ensure that the sessions are sustainable I will be asking those wishing to join to set up a monthly standing order of £30 to include all tools/materials as well as tea and cake! All you need to bring is yourself.
If you are joining mid month, or want to try a session before you commit, then you can either pay for the first session in cash on the day or through a bank transfer. Once you have decided to join I would ask that you set up your standing orders to be paid first day of each month. You are free to cancel the standing order and leave the sessions at any point, and if you choose to do so mid-month I will of course refund you for the one session paid in advance.
Here's some of the art that we've created over the last few months……
