I drove the same route to work every day for 5 years before noticing a white horse engraved into a hillside. The horse was not in my direct view but it was an interesting detail of my world that I had failed to observe for so long. So many of us rush through life barely noticing the things around us but through my art I am able to stop, look and really appreciate the beauty, vibrancy and diversity of the world in which I exist. Finding inspiration in a variety of subject matter, I paint, draw and print people, places and the intriguing objects that I stumble upon. Whatever I am studying I like to create work that is full of life and celebrates the detail that so often gets overlooked.
