Have you ever looked at the price of a piece of artwork and thought ‘Cor blimey! That’s a bit steep!’?
’ll put my hands up and admit that I have, but recently, in the pursuit of making a career as an artist, I have been thinking about this a lot and I decided to do a bit of research. Art Session Eclipse
July 30th, 2019
This month saw a partial eclipse of the moon and entirely coincidentally I had planned a lunar themed chalk drawing exercise for the Broughton Gifford Art Session on that very evening! Spooky! We had great fun playing with tonal contrast and studying the reflections of the moon. I enjoyed it so much that I took my demo home and finished it off. To find out more about the workshops and art sessions that I run click here
Last week, in a change to the usual format, the Broughton Gifford group took part in a Photography session with guest artist and professional photographerAlice Whitby. The rain held off as we roamed around Bradford-on-Avon on a Photography Treasure Hunt. Having a focus for each image was really fun and the resulting photos were awesome! Here’s Georgina’s response to the word ‘pattern’.
