Working in charcoal, we will be experimenting with different techniques, before looking at reflection and the refraction of light on glass as well studying the way in which glass objects interact with positive and negative space.

Renowned for it's vibrant colours, use of light and distinctive mark making, Impressionism was one of the great art movements of the 20th century. We will explore mark making and create own Impressionistic landscape painting.

There are general rules of proportion and facial symmetry that can be applied when drawing a face. We will learn how to draw each of the individual facial features as well as looking at how they are positioned on the face.

Textiles Illustration

Textiles is a versatile medium, great for creating artwork as well as embellishing home furnishings and clothing. In this workshop you will learn to use appliqué, basic embroidery stitches and beading to create your own decorative fabric cupcake illustration.

Pointillism in Acrylics

Pointillism is defined by its use of mark making and colour. Pointillism paintings are created from hundreds of dots of carefully placed pure colours, relying on the eye to mix the colours to achieve maximum luminosity, in a similar way to pixels on a screen.
Learn how to use reds, blues and yellows to create the whole spectrum of colours. In this workshop we will look at basic colour theory, pigment strength and colour mixing before going on to create a colourful acrylic painting to take away with you.

Get started with Oil Paints

Starting out with Oils can be a daunting prospect, but with just a few basics you can unlock the potential of this rich and exciting medium.
In this beginners workshop we will be getting to grips with oil painting. You will gain understanding of the paints, learn about colour mixing and basic application techniques, and receive step-by-step guidance in creating your own still life painting.

Mastering Reflections | Large Scale Charcoal Drawing
